The PAC at Central Middle school is made up of parents or caregivers of any student that attends Central Middle School. Anyone is welcome to join the active group of parents who work in conjunction with the teachers and admin staff of the school to provide a safe and caring environment that promotes learning for our children in the public school system.
The PAC assists the School Planning Council in setting direction for learning in the school as well as promotes education on common issues facing students in the school community. Advice is sought from the PAC on matters relating to the school (for example the forthcoming siesmic upgrade). We also support participation in cross district issues as brought forth through the Victoria Community of Parent Advisory Councils or on the Middle School Advisory Committee.
PAC has directed funds and efforts to providing the play ground at the front of the school, and actively funds activities within the school. The PAC also provides opportunity for parents and caregivers to become involved in programming decisions in the school.
If you want to have a voice in determining what directions the school takes, come to the monthly PAC meetings usually on the 2nd Monday of the month (some meetings are moved to accommodate statutory and school holidays). At least one member of the administration team is present at the meeting to address concerns and questions. Come learn about how to best support the children in Central Middle School.
